Gana Street is the one to pick if you are coming from the embassies or from a long lunch in Maitama, because you can park at the mall rather than hunting for a space on the street. This is a full boutique, not a display case, so give yourself half an hour if you want our team to work through a shortlist with you.

This is the newest of the five and the one we would send you to for an unhurried visit, since it sees less mall traffic than Gana Street or Jabi. Ring ahead for the hours before you set out, because this one keeps its own schedule.

Adetokunbo Ademola Crescent is the busiest address we hold in Abuja, and the store is built for it. If you are buying a gift on your way to something and have twenty minutes, this is the one. Tell the consultant the occasion and the budget band and let them do the narrowing.

Jabi is the one worth planning an evening around, because it is one of only two Seinde Signature locations with SEN Bar attached, and the other is in Lagos. SEN Bar is Africa's first perfume-inspired bar: the cocktails are built from the same ideas as the fragrances next door. Ask for the Passion Island, which is the drink Abuja keeps ordering.
The practical point is that you can smell six fragrances, think about it over a drink, and go back in with a clearer head. That is a better way to spend serious money than deciding in four minutes at a counter.

This one sits inside the i-Fitness, which is why it opens at seven in the morning, two hours before anywhere else in the city. If you train before work, you can smell something on the way out and still make your first meeting. It closes at 8pm rather than 9pm, and the schedule does not list Sunday trading, so ring before a Sunday drive.
Which one should you visit?
Jabi if you want to make an evening of it, Wuse 2 if you are short of time, Gana Street if you are already in Maitama, Aguiyi Ironsi if you want to spray and party hard, and Guzape if you train in the morning.
If you have no particular constraint, go to Jabi. The combination of a full boutique and a bar means you can take your time, and taking your time is the single biggest difference between buying a fragrance you wear and buying one that sits on a shelf.
What to expect when you walk in
A consultant, a shelf of houses you will not have met, and no pressure to buy on the first visit. We carry over 60 niche houses, so the useful opening line is what you already wear and what you did not like about it.
Smell three or four on skin, not on card. Paper tells you the top notes and nothing else, and in Abuja's dry heat a fragrance behaves differently again from how it reads in a description.
